To ride The Wave: Immediately after pushing off, start twisting at your hips. The motion will allow your feet to apply pressure to the board in opposite directions. Once you have the board moving, try using only your back foot to create a fishtail-like back and forth motion or try moving both feet back and forth in the same direction at the same time.
